My steel grey GTI
« on: October 05, 2014, 06:31:44 pm »
After having my GTI for 5 weeks I have finally got around to properly cleaning, polishing and sealing it and getting some good pictures! Thought I would start a thread as I will be doing a few things with it and will most likely need help from you guys  :happy2:
Its a 2006 in steel grey manual and has a good few extras which is nice! Only thing that I dont like is the standard headunit but I can get that changed! Its a standard car except from the black alloys which have grown on me. So far I have changed all the bulbs to LEDs and re-painted the calipers.
After looking around on here I have a few ideas for it and this week for the first mod i will be ordering a EVOMS induction kit.
Heres the pics

Looks great very clean. Are the side skirts and lower bumper painted black - or the plastic just been dressed and shined to look like it has?

Thanks I loved the colour soon as I saw it! The black plastics are just cleaned and dressed as they were dull and matt looking, come up rather well!

Took me ages to decide what colour at the end the steel grey stands out more than the others :driver:

Do it mate, makes a lot of difference to the look imo, for such little outlay - just a couple of mins to fit too.

Cheers guys :D anyone know where to get the fog grills?
Only plans so far are to upgrade the audio, lower on new shocks and springs, bigger brakes and then go stage 2 hopefully.....
Just ordered an EVOMS induction and booked in for cam follower and timing belt doing.

Got the kit fitted at the weekend! Easy enough to fit and sounds awesome! Also cleaned the engine while I was there as it was terrible....looks so much better too. Just need to get a tts engine cover now to finish it off.
